PRESIDENT OF ELETRONUCLEAR Doctor in Naval and Ocean Engineering from USP and Master in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Paris XI, he has been CEO of Eletrobrás Eletronuclear since October 2017. He is the Representative of the Minister of Mines and Energy (MME) in the Development Committee of the Brazilian Nuclear Program (CDPNB), member of the Permanent Advisory Group on Nuclear Energy, member of the Expert Group on Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage, both of the Directorate-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency - IAEA, member of the Board of Directors of World Nuclear Association –WNA, member of the National Academy of Engineering (ANE), member of the “American Nuclear Society (ANS) Local Sections Committee”, member of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) and member of the Electric Energy Business Council of FIRJAN/CIRJ. He is a volunteer collaborating professor at the Graduate Program in International Security and Defense (PPGSID) at the Escola Superior de Guerra (ESG). He was Technical Director from May 2017 to March 2018, Planning, Management and Environment Director at Eletrobrás Eletronuclear from April 2014 to July 2017, President of the Latin American Section – American Nuclear Society (LAS/ANS) from June 2016 to June 2017 and Vice President from June 2015 to June 2016. He was also Technical-Commercial Director of Amazônia Azul Tecnologias de Defesa S/A – AMAZUL from August 2013 to April 2014, Technical Advisor to the Presidency of Eletrobrás Eletronuclear de October 17, 2005 to September 2, 2013 and Coordinator of the Nuclear Propulsion Program of the Centro Tecnológico da Marinha in São Paulo – CTMSP from 2001 to 2005. He was a member of the Transition Team of the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alte. Bento Albuquerque, from January to March 2019.
